How I Work
I see my role as helping people to change behaviors, thinking or feelings that prevent them from leading interesting, fulfilling and joyful lives. In the office, clients identify what they want to change. My job is to create a safe place for an open and curious exploration, and to provide tools for change that are useful for that individual.
The foundation of my work is 30+ years of experience working with a wide range of clients and their specific concerns. For the past several years I have been using Interpersonal Neurobiology, a model that incorporates research about how the brain and mind are changed by the environment and interpersonal interactions. The integration of my clinical experience with brain research provides a well-grounded approach to therapy that matches the needs of the individual client.
I work in-person as well as virtually. I prefer to see clients in-person at least once & will work virtually or in the office based on client preferences & circumstances.
Fees are $200 per session & I will work with clients on fee reductions based on their circumstances. I do not take insurance but will provide a statement for clients whose insurance policies provide payment for out-of-network providers.
